I Love Plants, Plain and Simple
I love plants. Plain and simple. On the drive down yesterday to Mountain Grove, Missouri, we saw just a glimpse of the floral diversity here in the Ozarks. Baptisia leucophaea with its pale yellow creamy flowers hovering inches above the ground pop against the green grassy landscape. Fiery orange fields of Castilleja remind me of why plants are so cool. Whether you love the 'nerd' plants or you just love that pink flowering plant in your neighbor's front yard, you know the feeling. Plants can show us the beauty of nature while reminding us how the simple things in life are what matter most.
Go out and search for plants. I don't care if you go hiking through the woods or go perusing local greenhouses and nurseries just stay away from the big box stores. Go look for plants and find ones you like! Buy them, plant them, love them, sing to them, treat them like your children, just get out and find plants you want and put them in your garden (or you parents garden -- get ready Mom, I might be taking over). Let’s leave it at this--I love plants. You should too.
